Robot Rock du Jour: Nine Circles - Twinkling Stars (1982)

Ridiculously deep Dutch minimal synth. This expresses my way of being perfectly.

Classic female-fronted minimal wave, Netherlands based band Nine Circles released only one album; their self-titled disc was released in 1996 but is comprised of tracks recorded in 1982. Though the band's material scattered across various compilation appearances, it took 14 years for this collection to surface, and there's little information about this band to be found otherwise.

Here are a few tracks "Mister Nothing" "New Era" and "Tsar Bomba" from their website.

Robot Rock du Jour: Palais Schaumburg - Telephon (1981)

RAMPAGE! I'm in love with this stuff. Thick guitar basslines, tweaked synths, angsty vocals, drums, actual germans...

Robot Rock du Jour: Informatics - Dance to a Dangerous Beat (1980 - 1985)

Previously unreleased, masterfully minimal work from Australia's cutting edge art-school synth-pop outfit Informatics. This material dates from 1980 - 1985 and is finally seeing the light of day thanks to Josh at Dark Entries in SF. Not sure what the hell is going on this video, but who cares?!

Available on Dark Entries Records http://darkentriesrecords.com/ http://www.discogs.com/Informatics-Dance-To-A-Dangerous-Beat/release/4125687 "Factory Nightlife 03" is from the "Dance to a Dangerous Beat" compilation album by Australian synth-punk band INFORMATICS, re-issued on Dark Entries Records in January 2013. The song was originally composed in 1983 and never released. "Dance To A Dangerous Beat" collects 16 songs recorded between 1981 and 1985.

The name of the larger compilation was derived from lyrics to this song off their debut 7" Dezinformatsiya. "Living in real time is hard to do."

Dezinformatsiya 7''. what a world, what a crazy place to meet, move to the rhythm, dance to a dangerous beat. when the world split up you gotta split up too, living life in real time is hard to do
