Robot Rock du Jour: Alexander Robotnick - Problèmes D'Amour (1983)

Close your eyes. Picture Rusty Griswold at a topless disco in National Lampoon's European Vacation (1985). Do you hear that song playing in the background? How awesome is it??!! Well, this was the track.

Alexander Robotnick, aka Maurizio Dami, rewrote Italo by attaching a ground wire to Electro and letting the current rip. He also set the bar for performance names. This fellow is a legend who still exercises his servos and gives one hell of a live performance.

Problèmes D'Amour (Ah Ou Ah Version)

The original version of this seminal italo disco track was released in 1983 on Fuzz Dance. This version was released on white label promo and 7" in 1984, with a full promo with great circuit schematics in 1985. The audio was downsampled to 128kbps, per the artist's request.

Obsession for the Disco Freaks

"Obsession For The Disco Freaks" is an Electro-High Energy track, Robotnick's ironic tribute to all lovers and vinyl collectors of the 80s Italo High Energy Disco music. Few famous DJs and producers appear on it. It's up to you to identify them
