Project In Brief:
The Periscope was conceived by Sid Labs for the 2014 edition of the C2MTL global innovation conference. Through a partnership with 360° video capture leader Immersive Media,  The Periscope allowed attendees to intuitively explore different parts of the venue in real-time, HD spherical video. 

How It Worked:
The iPad Mini Retina's onboard accelerometer was tapped to control the viewing perspective: Rotating the counterweighted mechanical turret changed the horizontal view while rotating the metal handlebars changed the vertical. A bluetooth-enabled button let viewers change channels.
